MAN ARRESTED FOR THREATENING TO SHOOT UP LGBTQ BAR IN PHOENIX

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A forty-nine-year-old Phoenix man has been arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot up a local LGBTQ bar in what he claimed was retaliation for Charlie Kirk's death. Here's what may have happened.

On Wednesday, September seventeenth, Treven Gokey was taken into custody at his apartment near Seventh Avenue and Thomas Road following disturbing threats made against Cruisin' Seventh LGBTQ bar. According to police reports, Gokey made a fourteen-minute call to the Solari Crisis Line, during which he allegedly threatened to target the establishment located just blocks from his residence near Seventh Street and Indian School Road.

During the crisis line call, officials report Gokey stated he was "triggered by political events" and referenced Charlie Kirk's recent killing at Utah Valley University as motivation for his alleged threats. Police documents indicate Gokey made multiple concerning statements, telling operators that "Charlie Kirk was a martyr" and claiming "radical left violence breeds a far-right response."

When officers arrived at Gokey's apartment, he reportedly refused to come outside and spoke to police through his front door. During questioning, he allegedly told officers he did not possess a firearm but acknowledged that "guns are accessible because it is America."

According to court documents, Gokey made false claims about recent school shootings and used derogatory language targeting transgender individuals. Police quote him as saying he "wanted to harm others to send a message" specifically to what he termed "the far left."

The arrest comes amid heightened tensions following Kirk's assassination and subsequent threats made against DNC headquarters and historically black colleges and universities the day after Kirk's killing.

Gokey's bond has been set at two hundred fifty thousand dollars as authorities continue their investigation into the alleged threats against the Phoenix LGBTQ establishment.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
