MAN ARRESTED AFTER SLAPPING FUSSY BABY ON MAIN STREET

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A twenty-five-year-old Monroe, Louisiana man faces multiple charges including aggravated assault and cruelty to juveniles after allegedly fracturing an infant's skull and firing a weapon during a separate incident. Here's what may have happened.

On September fourteenth, Dustin Clark was caring for his adopted infant child at their home when the situation turned tragic. According to police reports, the baby had been fussy throughout the day, and Clark became increasingly frustrated while trying to feed the child. After multiple attempts to calm the infant down, Clark allegedly slapped the baby, resulting in severe injuries including swelling and a fractured skull.

The following day, September fifteenth, a friend who had come to Clark's residence discovered the infant's condition and immediately took the child to Morehouse General Hospital for medical examination. Medical staff quickly identified the extent of the injuries, prompting an investigation by local authorities.

But Clark's alleged criminal activity didn't stop there. On Thursday morning, Clark visited a victim at an apartment on Main Street where the two became involved in a heated argument. The dispute escalated when Clark allegedly fired a gun during the confrontation. The situation became even more complex when Clark's girlfriend visited the same victim Friday morning in what police describe as an attempt to set up a surprise attack.

The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office moved quickly to apprehend Clark. On September sixteenth around four p.m., heavily armed officers wearing tactical gear served an arrest warrant at a home in the two hundred block of North Washington Street in Monroe.

Clark now faces charges of aggravated assault, second-degree cruelty to juveniles, and cruelty to juveniles. His bond has been set at fifteen thousand dollars.

Hospital officials released a statement saying, "The safety and security of our patients, team members and community are our top priorities. Our team member hiring process is extremely rigorous and includes background checks, multiple reference checks and other nationally recognized best practices."

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
